B-Sides Collections

For those interested in more VSM music, I've decided to begin releasing collections of 'b-sides'. I like the context it provides, because I feel less pressure to get everything perfect for the records of eternity. They are often very raw recordings. I doubt there will be a regular release every month of the year, but there will be quite I few I presume. Every collection will be free and available for download on the website. I have a miniature pit in my stomach that for whatever reason someone will steal my music, but I don't want it to be about that. I wrote and recorded these songs and I want to share without any strings. I like the idea of rewarding those who dig . .   enjoy  : )

The Album

The album coming forth shall be named Gold & Dark Wool. My brother, Trenton Reynolds, is collaborating with me for the artwork. The progress has been existing and I think this is going to be an exciting group of songs. They come from all walks of life, from different periods of my life, but they're all quite interesting and hopefully enjoyable enough for more than one listen. I hesitate to pay for studio time and the such because I really enjoy the producing and technical side of the process too - my creative flow includes that part. My goal is to create the songs as they should be, and whether that means including many more people or not, I'm not convinced that's the case for this album. The songs are extremely personal and I find them to be holistically representative of myself. They are songs that can be interpreted by the listener and the discussion further than that belongs in the listener's mind. I like the mystery of knowing that everyone reacts differently, and I am not ready to shake hands with that reality. I'm enjoying the haunted house so to speak, so don't turn the lights on yet.

New posting on the song blog

"Met You" is now posted on the song blog. It's short and sweet.

I have been in the process of moving, and interestingly the dubious process of moving many things from point A to point B has yielded an Apple Cinema display and a sweet desk, of all things.

So the songs will begin to roll forth yet again... keep your ears un-muffed.

Sleeperknight is here

The very first EP is done and up. It's everywhere - iTunes, Spotify, and on and on thanks to CD Baby.
I am very satisfied with the fact there is a finished product. It's done. Can't change it. Game over.
It's a fantastic feeling of closure. I think if a track carries over into the album with changes for the better, it will be Cherry Lane. Also, the website has been redesigned for more intuitive and clear navigation.

SleeperKnight - EP

Venter's Stag Motel is pleased to announce a forthcoming EP named SleeperKnight. This is the very first official VSM release. Keep your eyes and hearts out for this one it's gonna be great.
